Hamfair 2026 - 48th Hamfair, Announcement of the Catchphrase & Official Logo
Hamfair 2026, the 48th Amateur Radio Festival, will be held in the commemorative year marking the 100th anniversary of the Japan Amateur Radio League (JARL). We are pleased to announce the official catchphrase and logo design to represent this special event.

「JARL創立100周年 ～好奇心のアンテナをたてよう～」 Eng; - JARL 100th Anniversary “Let’s point your antenna toward curiosity”
Amateur radio begins with curiosity: the desire to send signals, to understand how things work, and to build radio equipment. For 100 years, that curiosity has connected technology and culture. With this message, we encourage everyone to again raise the antenna of curiosity toward the future.
About the Official Logo Design
For Ham Fair 2026, we have created a bespoke official logo for the first time.
A century ago, radio operators had no option but to build their own equipment. From vacuum tubes to modern transistors, components such as capacitors, diodes, and resistors were soldered onto electronic circuit boards to bring radios to life.
The new Ham Fair logo incorporates imagery inspired by printed circuit board patterns, with the year numbers enhanced using resistor color codes.
This design evokes the electronic circuitry that symbolizes Japan’s pioneering spirit in electronics, while also expressing our hope that Ham Fair will remain a place for gathering, exchanging ideas, and sharing discoveries for years to come.
The official catchphrase and logo will be used across the Ham Fair website, printed materials, newsletters, and other communications as we share updates about Ham Fair 2026.
